GTR measurement

It's about a finger at the front of the rollcage to about 1 1/2" at the rear. This is from memory so might not be totally accurate.
I'm glad of the slightly extra height in the car as it should allow me to get in with a helmet. Not ideal from a safety viewpoint though...I wish I was 2" shorter.

Thanks Dave. I think your answer will be accurate enough for me. When the car came from the factory the bodywork was of course on but has now been stored for the building. Knowing there's that much space saves the refitting for now. I fit just fine in the GTR but needed to know the space for the overhead mounting of some items. Thanks again.

So, Brad, what are you doing? Inquiring minds want to know.

Hi Peter:
I wasn't trying to be secretive as it's not a state secret....I'm having a very slim and neat overhead made from aluminum, covered in Alcantra incorporating an overhead light system, a voice activated intercom and controls for a front and rear radar/lazer detector. I opted not install a stereo but instead my intercom has a stereo input which I can plug my MP3 player into. I have Bose active noise reduction headsets (these are amazing) so I'll even be able to hear the music as well as talk to my wife without shouting. The jacks for the headset and stereo music input will be down low and out of the way. I plan on using the intercom and music %5 of the time so why have a stereo and speakers? I'll put a picture in my photo album once it's together.
