carb holey 750 air intake options?
Discussion
I have the standard chrome dinner plate type of air cleaner, but anyone fitted a remote cover? IE so I can take air from the side pods and channel it into the carb rather than draw the hot air under the rear clip? During Lemans when it got to 37 degs in traffic the air mixture was a bit too hot! Car was fine though, didnt overheat (we did!)

Reverie do one but I doubt you want to pay those prices.Have you thought about moulding your own?
If you could make a buck we know people who could make a mould for you.

Paul,
Try this... http://www.ramairbox.com/
I had one fitted on car in the past. It works fine and at a fraction of cost of Reverie's airbox.
Cheers,
Javier

as the man says "you get what you pay for" with the inability of carbs to adjust to a wide range of inlet temps without effecting mixture it would seem the most isolated from engine temp box you can find would be well worth the effort. I have data logged inlet temps on my GTR without a box and the temps get well above outside air temps. Lee
dom those temp sticks are telling you the temp on the outside of the airbox not the air going in the carb. if the box is sealed top the bonnet you might be suprised. Although the headers are not helping. Try putting a sticker inside and see what you get. If that doesn't work you need to wrap all that nice C.B. in the Gold film. Just thoughts. lee
