air filter pipe question

Hi Guys...again!

I want to spin the air filter around above the plenum chamber of my LS7, and am considering using an aluminium 180 degree bend off the Throttle body with samco bits to connect it up both ends. This I hope will make the whole thing a bit more rigid than the smaco 180 degree bend I have seen on others, thus preventing the filter waving at the cab!

Anyone done this, and how successful was it?

Finally as I am in the office today, I wanted to order said piece but don't know the diameter of the throttle body outlet. Can someone tell me?
