ok more questions,

my dry sump setup using an external pump has no venting in the valve covers and tank. I am still seeing oil pressured out of the tank
while reving the engine resulting in max oil pressures of almost 8-9 bar. (not sure if the sensor is ok, but at idling it reads healthy 3,5 bar)
I am not sure if I simply have too much oil in the system that is coming out of the top of the tank or if this is due to the missing venting of the tank ?

here a link to my engine and dry sump connections

thanks for your comments

There has to be a vent somewhere either to atmosphere or into the inlet track.
Anything that gets hot has to expand.

Wouldn't it be similar to the Gearbox vent? e.g. it would have a catch tank to allow the oil vapour to drain back into the dry sump system.

I think the tank itself is doing that, so far the vent on top was closed as I do not have the standard setup where these hoses are all connected
together and go to the air inlet and are then burned with the gas.

ok drove around with some foam around the tank vent, oil spillage is gone, so I will install a professional vent for the tank.

thanks

Hi Uwe, You could search around this thread for catch tanks, breathers, etc.
