Gtr doors.

Hi guys, I have a set of untrimmed gtr bodywork and was wondering if the top hinge on the doors ie the 1/4" Rose joint, is just tapped into the fibreglass, or is there a threaded insert in there somewhere?

Mine are just tapped into the fibreglass.

From memory I think there is a hardwood block moulded into the grp ready for drill/tap.

Don't remember any sawdust coming out when I did mine so I'm guessing it just taps into resin.

If you are talking about the door moulding then there is a metal insert...had to drill a sheared rose joint out during my rebuild.....not sure about the two screws into the body to hold the pivot...looks like they could just be into the resin
