After 3 years sat idle in a broken heap my GTR is finally back on the road to recovery.
A refreshed engine with a dry sump, Holley Commander 950 fuel injection, strengthened chassis with additional cross brace, flat floor with rear diffuser (apart from lowered floor pan section for seats), remote gearbox oil cooler and minor body mods to ease removal of front and rear clip.
Long term I would like to upgrade dampers and am considering Intrax 4-Way dampers but the settings have not yet been finalised by Intrax and they require the car to configure road settings.
As Ultima no longer supply Intrax I am looking to source a Rear Damper just to get the car back on the road and although Intrax can supply I would have to wait.
I know others have suffered similar mishaps with accidents so if anyone has a spare Rear Intrax damper or indeed a pair of standard Rear dampers they would like to sell please get on touch.

Thanks
Glyn

You can just call intrax, they aren't bad on making a set.

Hi Harry

I emailed them and they responded quickly. I got a call from them but the chap I spoke to was in the UK at the time. He is due to email me details on his return. I discussed with him the 4WAY dampers which look like they could be good. They have previously supplied a set of 4WAY for an Ultima but they were never dialled in for road and race use. They said to get the best out of the dampers they would need the car to do the initial calibrations. The problem I have is I have one damaged rear damper which needs replacing just to get it on the road. To save waiting I thought it was worth asking other Ultima owners if they had a spare one laying in the garage. As I am sure you well know many owners have various bits laying around.

HI I broke the top retaining rings on my Intrax(top of spring with slot in it) at the bigging of the year and bought the said parts direct from Ultima... Have you asked the factory if they have a odd one about or pair?

Ultima were my first port of call which is when I found out they no longer supply Intrax. As per usual - my dreams are bigger than my pockets and at some point I would like to upgrade to Intrax 4WAY dampers or similar. I just wanted a quick cheap option to replace the Intrax damper and get the car back on the road. Tonight I ended up ordering what appears to be my cheapest option being a set of rear standard dampers from Ultima which will do the job but don't have the same level of adjustment. I have to say Ultima were helpful as always in taking time to talk me through a problem with my air conditioning and helped me identify another little problem and are supplying the small component I need to help me on my way - Thanks Chaps

Yes – unfortunately I’m still in Bolton. House is on the market and we have no idea where in the country we will move to next. Wherever we end up it will have to have a decent garage for the Ultima.
