Hey guys I never really heard what is going on with the UK club so I though I would start up a US club. If the UK club is dead I could expand the site to include you guys also.

The site is www.ultimaclub.us

I have been playing with it during my lunch breaks so if you find any coding issues let me know. If anyone has any ideas, suggestions, or would like to contribute content let me know. I would like to organize some events once we know where everybody is located.

Great idea. We Ultima owners over here have to help each other.
One point, the signup does not ask what Ultima you have.
thanks

I hope it is ok for "enthusiasts" to join also? Ya know, all of us who drive less than ULTIMA(TE) cars?

Thanks,

Dave

Hi Mark,

How about including Canadians?
What? Are you kidding me? The way I see it, you've been on PistonHeads for 19 months. That's about 80 weeks, which, if you throw in five week's vacation, comes out to about 375 days. If you condider that you had to eat for 15 minutes, that is about 281 hours available for site development, which is about 7 weeks of full-time effort. Clearly, you could have done better!

Nicely done, and count me in! And I vote to allow anyone who wants to participate; North, Central, or South America...and other continents, too! Can the map be expanded?

The registration page now allows you to enter the model you have. If you already registered you can update your registration.

Everybody can join you don't have to own an ultima.

You should be able to join now, just select “outside the us” for a state code.

I opened it up to people outside the us, but if you want the map to include the whole world somebody else is going to have to draw it. For now I took an easy approach and the rest of the world is represented by a circle.

Keep the ideas coming? If anyone has any mag articles scanned I'll post them on the web. Or if you want to mail me copies I'll scan them.

Somebody else suggested I make the gallery so each person can have their own section. If you upload pictures to the site it will group them by your user name now.

No plans to be in Kansas, but if I do, it will be in a STRAIGHT line, and quickly! :-)

If I am, I would let you know though... I do hail from Kentucky (Don't tell anyone), so I might have an occasion to be going through there one day...

The site is really shaping up well.
I'm sure that the site is an expense to you, and I think that each member would not mind a small yearly dues to help with the expense. I know I wouldn't.

Jack thanks for the offer. At the moment the site is sitting on the webserver where my personal site is hosted, so it no additional money out of my pocket. If the site gets large enough and I have to get more server space I might ask for some contributions.

For now just keep the ideas comming. Somebody asked for a "for sale" section, so I started to work on that peice.

In my "Impala" club, we frequently have "Group Purchases" at discounted prices. Of course, there are tons more Chevy B-Body cars running around. However, I wouldn't mind seeing what we can negotiate with vendors for certain things that we would all use on Ultimas (like tires).

Perhaps a group purchase section listing product, quantity, $$$ amount and close date?

Looks like we Americans are making a "B-Line" to your site Mark! Fantastic site by the way. I really like those awesome stats on the FAQ. I'm sure Jack and a few others would be happy to post some articles and content to the site. This would be a way for us to contribitue and donate to your efforts and help new builders and prospective buyers.
Cheers!

sorry for the confusion guys. If your user name had a space in it the activation link may have been broken. Look in the email the link should be formated has follows.

www.ultimaclub.us/activate.asp?userName=YourUserName&actCode=YourActivationCode

Try to cut the entire link out of the email and paste into the browser. If you don't have the email send me your user name and I can activate your account manually.
