The more observant amongst you will have noticed that the factory parts thread now has a 'closed' status.

I've done this to keep the content purely update related, rather than having to sift through lots of comments (not all of them relevant).

Needless to say, discussions/comments about the updates can happily take place as a 'normal' thread.

Thanks for your understanding - let the moaning commence wink

I think its absolutelly terrible that it took so long to decide to do this lol

in truth factory part updates should be maintained only by the factory IMHO and as long as prices are kept off then no advertising rules would be broken

Ah, but that would require that the factory were given moderator powers - heaven forbid!!! Besides, then threads would randomly disappear and it wouldn't take long before the whole site came crashing down around our ears hehe

The updates thread exists (and is unique on PH) as it's of benefit to builders and owners, as such, pricing is pretty much required and if it wasn't on that thread, it wouldn't take long for it to appear in relevant discussion threads about the parts in question.

This is the heart of the Ultima community after all - long may it continue to be so smile

my post prob read slightly wrong, I was meaning it should be for just company official updates rather than just anyone deciding updating it... no issues with it going via a mod, but completely agree with it being closed to everyone else.

Stig can you also add the front splitter so people know about that extra. The only way I found out about it was trolling through the forum. Not that it bothers the UK guys much but if I didn't find out about it now and get it added to the kit for freight, it would of killed me in freight to get it sent seperately later on.

Thanks mate.

I think the problem is that the regulars will spot when there's a change as its up the top, but for a newbie they would be oblivous to the thread. Perhaps a stickie linking to the non stickie...getmecoat

wink However, given its relative importance/relevance, the factory updates thread is now a 'proper' sticky again.

Thanks mate. Can you also add the passenger foot rest.

Also can anyone think of any other part that's not listed on the update thread or on Ultima's website that I might on missed. I want to make sure everything goes in the main shipment so I'm not paying extra for freight.

front wing ventilation ducts mounted in the side pod. make sure you put these in prior to permanently fitting the side pods or get the factory to it them prior to shipment.
