Yess all panels are iron,
19 kg of extra weight on panels, pipes, corners and welding,
and a lllottttt more chassistorque and crashprotection.

I'll make a documentory here, when I will build it up....

Hi Joop, looks hevy but great work! Looks that you have thought a lot about torsion.

I will post our Suspention mod, its same stiff but half weight!

BTW: In 2 weeks we have proto uprights ready. The adapt the Porsche Cup Rims and Porsche GT3 Brake System with Centre lock!
Very low price compared to all other things!

Did you get the rims?

Best

hi Joop,

@the rear suspention: this is the version we fixed the rear suspention problem. Only 200 gramms more weight!

Best rergards

Why did you consider these reinforcements necessary?

Hello Gottfried,

That's the same direction of reinforcement, but less complicated to make.....
I think that's the result your team making the 5th(?) ultima and racing it.
But my back lower arm inforcement can be a good solution for you also, it's simple and good. I'll make a better picture for you.

About the torque remark I was in the first place looking for more safety
when driving the Ultima on the circuit like the Nurnburgring.
As a by-product torque came in the frame, and that also worked out well.

Donk,

Did you do all your work MIG or TIG? And what guage steel did you use on the body panels and reinforcements?

Hi Steve,

If you run a Ultima on Track with a good engine and Slicks, you will see this suspention parts moving min 5-10 out of position.
At Nurburgring Race we also lost one wheel, as this pick up points where broken,.....

I recommend this to any Ultima! Or dont drive faster than 100 MPH ;-)

Best regards
