i agree that the earlier thread about ultima and gd could have descended into a squabbling match which no one wanted. I was going to reply earlier before the thread closed to post a more recent incar footage thread showing a GD t70.

in the interests of fairness could this be allowed up for a while without anyone continuing the arguments, just take it for what it is a great video clip!

i dont think we should continue the arguments tho even in jest ! :-) the gd snetterton clip is andy taking prospective customers out fairly steadily in the demo car after it had the changed box and diff rather than the gt2 diff.

it was never an actual argument anyway prior to the factory post, so lets leave it at that and enjoy the clip!

btw if anyone with an ultima is doing any trackdays this year let me know the dates as i'd love to swap passenger rides if anyone is up for it.

And err, by the way. Whilst I've not driven a GD T70, I've 15,000 miles in an Ultima and 10,000 miles in a GT3. The ride quality is better in the GTR (the difference in the springs (road to track upgrade) being almost identical to the way the Sport button on the GT3 changes from road and wet track to dry track). The balance of the car on the limit is far superior in the Ultima and the Ultima is far more rewarding on track. I've never felt scared in the Ult on track, always rock steady and planted whilst soaking up undulations and lots of curbs. But in the GT3 I get very sweaty indeed!!
