The pic showing the side of the reds ultima looks awesome, esp without the rear spoiler.

Just one question, is the rear spoiler removable? I think the car looks pretty good without it but I'd obviously want it on the track.

It looks better with one.
It can be removed but would be a pain in the butt as acess to the bolts would be difficult.

Do you think it looks a bit naked without it?

Thinking 6-8 months down the line, I'm not sure which colour. I'd be going can-am, and I'm thinking yellow, bright blue or black. Nobody would have pics of a bright blue or black can-am would they?

Don't keep saying that or all the new builds will go Yellow and we will loose our edge.

Good that you're not asking what color we think you should paint it...

Yes Yellow!

Blue is blah
Black is boring
Red is passe'

Yellow is bright and vibrant, easy to see at (nearly) any light.

My two bits.

He's buying a 500-odd HP, lightweight, rear wheel drive sports car that probably doesn't have ABS or traction control. I think whether or not he is 'visible' as a safety measure is reasonably superfluous. Its just like the blondes and brunettes argument... you pick whatever you like best By the sounds of the other owners you'll shiver with delight every time you see it anyway no matter what colour.

Silly, but I would like to repaint my yellow GTR to the likes of Qvick Racing. Sheep in Wolf's clothing -- probably more like a step up to rabid dog in Wolf's clothing I would suspect. I just like the two-tone and all the decals on the road.

It also fades quicker.

Doesn't really matter anymore does it

I've got at least 6 months before I have to decide anyway.

My black can-am body arrived last week. I originally intended painting it, but having seen it I might leave it as it is. Its sat on the floor at the moment, but I could mail you a couple of pics to give you an idea if you like. Clive

Cliveg, I believe I saw your black can-am at the factory and it certainly looked good. I suggest you keep it that way. Just dont use white. I saw one of those at the factory and couldn't believe how dreadful it looked. Maybe he has a few stickers to put in it!

The more I think about it the more likely I am to leave it black. I must say that I was well impressed with the quality of the finish too.

Mr J,
I have tried to mail you a couple of pics but couldn't see a way to attach them using PF email (probably me being dim). If you mail me with your email address I will send them on. Clive

Clive the black looks hot

The way the light would capture it would look awesome.
Tailights also look best on a black ultima, and that's what most people will be seeing!!
