Teflon lined throttle cable
Discussion
I had one of these custom made for me and I fitted it at the weekend.
Other than having sore forearms, scraped knuckes and a fair few bruises, it went in OK
Upping the cable diameter from 6mm to 7mm didn't help either.
That said, the initial results seem very promising with an almost friction-free pull from pedal to carb. The difference in flex between the stainless braid (new cable) and the old galvanised cable is remarkable. Will post a pic to illustrate later.
Haven't had a chance to 'hot' test it due to the cack weather at the weekend, but it's looking good so far.

Right chaps, had a fairly comprehensive test drive yesterday in the GTR in high ambient temps and lots of traffic.
The result, well, I'm happy to say that the car behaved itself flawlessly
The teflon cable has sorted the high idle and the cooling gremlins have gone.
Oh happy day
PS. Was out cruising around Henley Marlow and spotted a Ferrari Enzo. He didn't seem keen on a little 'play'
