I know it is 1.4.11 but I really have sold the GTW, honest!

Hello one and all, those that know me and those that have as yes not had the pleasure biggrin
I tried to retain the GTW but to no avail I am afraid frown
I have experienced some of the most enduring times that I have yet known over the past few years and as a result of my life having changed in many drastic ways have decided to let the beast go so that it's absolute potential may at last be unleashed by way of input and interest that is about to be unleashed upon it by a worthy and keen exponent that we all know and, er, like? (I shan't say his name and steal his thunder although some here already know the score ;, you know who you are yes)
I will be following it's progress and hope to still be involved to some degree but for the large part, I am spent.
I will by no means disappear from these pages but I am at least done with Ultima's. Keep it real dudes hippy

What are you like with a chammy? idea

Well I didn't expect this to go 'public' Wayne? But I totally understand your feelings. Possibly almost relief?? Dunno.

Yes, tis I. But Wayne, seeing as you have kicked off this thread, allow me say that I don't feel like a new owner, merely a custodian of the GTW, assisting it along on it's journey (of which you have brought it 9/10th of the way already) to prove its self amongst it's peers and in it's own right.

Thanks for the opportunity bud. bow You have my word that I will do what it takes to see it through to the finish line, and you will be very much a part of the 'final leg' (sponge optional!).

Now..where did I put that camcorder!!!!???

Lucky.

Oh. And I forgot to add, that in the pre-purchase research period, it is nice to know that SSS, Clive and West Tuning, have all been very supportive and will continue to be.

I hope I can rely on the forum, our 'team' to be equally as informative, and I may well set up the occasional 'poll' on sticky issues.

See you about a bit more now.

Pete,

Having been on the forum for a while now, i have seen the GTW mentioned many a time, but dont fully know the story other than a lot of work has gone into it thus far.

Wheres it at now, and how long until your posting new vids?

Hi Mark,

This has been rather a whirlwind decision for me. I'm still trying to work out what is going on! Needless to say, the right bits are in place, it runs, but it's last resting place was at the 'mappers' for some nigglers.

I'm off to see it for the first time (since Stoneleigh) tomorrow. It now resides at Cadwell Park, Lincs. I won't be doing the mechanical side. I'll be parachuted in to do what I (think) know best. Interior finish and exterior (non-functional) design.

My short spell as a racer. has seen a very stong bond with my Race Engineer, and he will be finishing the car. With the help of the team that have got it this far i think we can get it there.

I'd be delighted if Wayne could give the GTW a resume thus far - I don't even know the spec!!!

Over to you Wayne...........

I uploaded this against my better judgement (Please not jibes about my Legs or the Elegant shorts It was a hot day), but gives Lucky and Wayne a little boost as to what the old Girl sounded like....

Just to bore the pants of you, the reason for the video was we had a issue that if you reved it fast the 2 piece Dissy shaft (Trigger wheel in Dissy still) would come unscrew slightly and the car would stop as the Motec would think the cam belt had snapped. Well after building a New one piece shaft (Cheers again Mr Knight) it worked great...

But then again thinking about it the shorts could be blamed on hanging around Wayne to much...laugh

Hello chaps,

Went to see GTW yesterday up at Cadwell Park. It's as I remember, just a little tired from a year or two of sulking in the wings.

Still deciding whether this should be a finish to A1 or just a track slag and Vmax rocket. I think it would be made not to put the old gal through her paces at Cadwell. If a UK circuit is gonna test a car, it might as well be a good one!!

AW Tracksport are racing this weekend, I'll get Andy (Waters) to have a look at when he's back.

Just a pick or two to remind us what she looks like:
