Flat tyre

Got a (rear wheel) flat yesterday. Its not a puncture it's the tyre to rim seal. I've let the air out and washed the area with soapy water and it seems to have sealed.

Are there any tricks or compounds to make this a more permanent job. In light of others saying their tyres move on the rim is there some sort of adhesive that can be used.
