I have recently lost the controller to the tv, but the one for the digital box works. I like to watch tv when I fall asleep, either setting the timer or waking up and switching it off.

The digital remote turns off the box but not the tv, and just leaves the plasma black. Now I know leaving a still image on the screen can cause ghoasting, but would a plain black screen make any difference ?

I can;t be arsed to get out of bed to old school press the button, would wake me up again.

As long as there are no on screen logo you shouldn't suffer screen burn, given the average life of a plasma inwouldn't worry

Shouldn't make a difference apart from shorten the lifespan of the TV.

But the liklihood is that you'll replace it long before you reach the end of it's 1ifespan anyway, so shouldn't be a problem
