I have narrowed my choices down to 2 players:

Oppo BDP95EU

OR

Marantz UD7006

Both are of about the same cost.

What would you choose.

It will be playing through 9 Linn speakers and a REL Sub. An Onkyo TXNR 709 AMP and a Samsung PS59D6900D screen

Are you planing on using the Oppo 95 to do the decoding or the amp? If the later, then there is little point paying more for the 95, so just get the 93 as it's only the analouge decoding that is improved in the '95. Can't speak for the Marantz player though, I think it's an older model and not sure whether it plays SACD, DVD-Audio discs as the Oppos do.

I have the '93 myself and have to say that the sound from it's analogues through my Arcam AV9 and Arcam power amp setup is pretty good. The 93/93 also have great support from Oppo and I particularly like the disc resume feature (even works on some BluRays) and the subtitle shift, which helps with foreign film when using a cinemascope screen as I have. It also has some network playback facilities, though I've not tried them myself as I just use it as a disc player.
