Making over the bedroom here, and have gone with a white/cream/oak look. I want to add a 1-piece stereo (built-in speakers), but I don't want the usual silver or black types (yes, I know I should MTFU).

Suggestions? The only thing I can find is the Bose 'Wave Music Shelf System' in white. It seems to have aux in for MP3. Doesn't seem to have an alarm radio mode (which would be useful).

Not really looking for hi-fi, but do want something with a bit of 'projection.'

Ideas? (Before I head off to Argos!)

White Meridian F80 (dicontinued model, but quite a few available) or newer M80

Thanks chaps - will start searching on those models.

One other thing: I've always assumed that the Bose success is a triumph of Sunday supplement advertising rather than sound quality. Should I be more open-minded?

How about a Sonos system and one of these in the bedroom?

^ Useful - thanks. Bookmarked for reading up. I have a Sony NAS elsewhere in the house, so the central Sonos thingy may duplicate some of that.

Cheap in Costco just now, I think less than 300 notes for the basic set up.

Was having an internet window shop earlier today, and quite liked the look of these Squeezebox radios.

Anything like what you're after?

As mine will be out of sight, I think I may go for a Roberts Stream instead.

Anyone had any experience with either of these?

I know you said integrated speakers, but what about the Denon CEOL? It is white, and can be bought with white speakers (or choose your own), and has a lot of functionality.

I have a Radio and a couple of Squeezebox Booms. IMO much better sound quality from the Booms. Only disadvantage is you're tied to a power socket.
