V+ or TiVo?

We already have Virgin phone and broadband and wanted to add the basic TV package with the V+ HD Box. The chap on the phone has recommended the TiVo box instead of the V+ box. Apparently the TiVo also comes with free installation whereas the V+ is £40.

Is this TiVo worth having over the V+? He was pushing the TiVo like his life depended on this sale . I said i would go away and consult my fellow PHers first

IMO the TiVo box is much better than the V+ box. A little slower to use but far more versatile.
