Just about to redecorate the flat, want to sell in about 12 - 18 months, so I am looking to make it look at nice as possible.
Currently, my tv is on an outside wall with trunking obscuring the cabling, but I am hoping to bury these.
Big problem I have, the tv is currently hanging (flat) on a wall which cannot have the TV straight in front it, so the sound imaging is rubbish.

The only way I could possibly have it any other way, is to mount it above my storage heater which has a wooden cover on it.. (see attached pic)

What I am essentialy asking, is can the TV be hung where the HOME / mural is?

Apologies for poor quality

Personally, i wouldn't.

Storage heaters radiate a large amount of heat for prolonged periods and this takes it's toll on electrical equipment. (heat rises, obviously)

Is there any chance of moving the n/s/h to the wall that the tv is currently on? An electrician would be able to do this in around an hour, expect to pay about £60 or so.

Cheers Dan, I have given this some thought, big problem with this, I have laminate flooring which was laid up to the n/s/h, also, sky comes into the flat below the tv, so additional cost of getting this moved also.

What do the manufacturers instructions say the working ambient temperature range is?

Get a thermometer, put it on the wall where the TV would go and see how hot it gets.

Be scientific rathhr than relying on peoples opinions on an internet forum -it's your money, your TV and your risk.

Cant you leave it where it is and mount it on a swingy bracket?
