PS3 7.1 audio

Hi - does anyone have a PS3 running 7.1 audio. Not tried it yet but want to hear is A OK before buying 2 extra speakers. It would be for films, plus GT5 fun n games

Yep. Works fine and as it should.

Fab - dont suppose you play games on it too? Apart from films I'm into GT5. Already run 5.1 which is great, so 7.1 can only be better!

Call of Duty is in 7.1 if I remember rightly.

I am a fan of 7.1 in general, and not just at the top end either - but that is for the 7.1 thread.

There's not a great deal of point in 7.1 For a start you have to have a fairly large room for it to make any difference at all. Secondly so few blurays are encoded in 7.1
