New TV - Home cinema has no sound

Just replaced my 3-year old 32" Sony with a new 40" Sony. Also have a 3 year old Sony home cinema system. This worked without problem on the 32", but now have some issues on the 40". I can play DVDs on it, and on the TV I can switch between audio system & TV speakers - no problem. But, with the sky box hooked up, I get no sound if I'm on Audio system. It's OK with TV speakers. Any clues anyone?

Is SKY connected to the TV or the surround sound?

Currently the tv, as it was before.

Are you using HDMI connections?

In the assumption you are, check that the TV -> Surround is an ARC (Audio Return Channel)

Sorted. Just needed an optical between sky & the cinema box. Cheers anyhoo.
