Led versus lcd pros and cons please.
Discussion
LED is only a marketing term for the type of white light employed to shine through the LCD pixels that are still used to comprise the viewable screen.
If you want to see RGB LEDs in action, go to a sporting event and watch the advertising hoarding, the big screens, or a concert/TV studio using a "videowall".

^ This is correct. LED TV's are becoming the norm now as they are more cost effective to produce and a lot more accurate than CCFL backlit screens.
It's worth mesaying that a 37" Sony LED for £120 sounds like a steal, BUT if it's a discounted early model, be wary as it's only within the last 9 to 10 months that Sony has got on top of niggles with their first sets that had bad uneven light patches.
