large tv's on arm mounts
Discussion
i have an issue with the layout of the living room, in that the tv needs to go in a corner but this puts it partly behind the chimney breast at the moment it sits on a cab and is only a 37" set so isnt too much of an issue as i can sit it out quite far on the cab and angle it so i dont loose any of the picture.
But i want to replace cab with a much smaller bench and replace tv with something between 50"-60" this would mean the tv would be basically un-watchable as it would point pretty much directly across the room. so my thoughts were wall mount it on a movable arm so i could swing the set out so it could be viewed.
but i dont know if there are any arms long enough and obviously the further out its holding it the more force is getting placed on the mount
anyone any ideas

I have just done this with a 51" plasma, cantilever arm mount from Amazon..rated up to 80Kg. You obviously need a good wall. Mount came with 4 10mm raw plugs and hex head screws. Its a bit still at the moment but I guess will free up in time. Just got to drill through the wall behind the mount to pass cables through wall so they are hidden.
Hope this helps.

It is less about the screen size and more about the wall you are mounting it to.
I have a 50" plasma going into a custom cabinet this month. With a push of a button it will extend out by 70cm and the twist almost 70 degrees into the room.
For mounting I am screwing it to the 20mm mdf back panel and bolting it through to the concrete wall behind the cabinet with thread rod and chemical fixings so there is no chance of it pulling or levering off.
If it is. New house, check how it is made. Brick and block with plasterboards, timber frame, traditional wet plaster?
