All the blurb about the Panasonic Viera TVs says that you can stream stuff from your computer to your plasma TV but I cannot find anything in plain English that tells me how to do it.

The TV is commected to the router via Cat5 and the Macbook is connected wirelessly so shouldn't the two see each other?

Sorry in my simple world, when you click on media server on the telly, should it not see the computer or do I need extra software on the Mac to make it a media server.

Apologies for being dumb, Cheers.

I think the Panasonic can only see DLNA compatible servers, which the Mac isn't by default. You'll need something like http://www.isedora.com/ to make it work. I tried the demo with my old Sony Bluray player, and it worked fine, but I haven't tried it with anything else - I went with an AirPlay-enabled AV amp instead.

Thanks for that. Unfortunately I would have to upgrade my OS to use it though.
