New TV purchased and now X box signal is rubbish.

Afternoon all. Just a quick one for you, i've recently purchased a new HD TV and although i'm very happy with the picture when i switch over to the X-Box channel (either scart or RGB component cable) the picture is anything but sharp and clear. Almost give a `ghosting` effect.
Anyone had something similar happen to them with a modern TV and a X-Box that is a few years old?

If it's an older Xbox (like mine), then you should be connecting via component, not scart.

IIRC there is a little switch on the video cable on the back of the Xbox and that has to be switched to HDTV.

Then make sure the settings on the Xbox are set to output a HD signal (720p, 1080i).

All sorted now as i found a HDMI plug hidden on the back of the pesky thing !
