Hello,

I'm currently decorating my Bedroom. I am going to put my 36" LCD in my bedroom. As the wife and I like to watch a film in bed sometimes, I thought about investing some time and money improving the sound quality. Not sure what ceiling speakers would sound like but thought about installing them. My budget is about £150, not great but would I be better just installing some shelf speakers instead of ceiling? Also considering second hand to get a better quality.

Cheers

Ian

You'll also need an amp to power the speakers ...

Not really worth it IMO.

I would fit speakers to my bedroom ceiling. Either side of the mirror...

We've got in ceiling speakers in our bedroom but not for TV.....just for music. We do have a TV in our bedroom but don't watch films on it so feel no need to hook it up to the speakers which we could do relatively easily. And no they aren't either side of the mirror....

might just be better off wall mounting some lifestyle speakers like gallo's or orbs or ma radius 44's or 90's

they will be more than enough if you combine them with a small ish sub really you'd only need a 2.1 setup unless you really must have 5.1 in a bedroom it seems a bit overkill least with non in cealing speakers you wont have sound leaking into the street as much

I am seriously looking at getting a projector and 5.1 in ceiling setup for the bedroom.

Would have been happy with a 36in TV, but layout prevents a TV.

For in-ceiling speakers I would probably go for Monitor Audio stuff.

Why not be like John Wayne, mount the TV on the ceiling above the bed.

With a CCTV camera pointed at the bed and fed to the TV? I like your thinking!

No, I wouldn't want it to feel like a cheap hotel!
