Philips tv problem and remote control broken

An annoying problem that may mean a size 12 through the screen out of frustration. I was redoing the digital channels via the on screen setup menu and my remote control died. It's not the batteries just a dead remote. Does anyone know how to exit the setup screen with the buttons on the side of the tv so ii can actually watch something?

Just turn it off then back on again.
