Right, so I'm in the market for a 32" TV.

It's for the bedroom, so doesn't need to be too flash. A couple of essentials for me:

  • Must be wall mountable
  • Must have freeview built in
  • Must have a USB input for movies and be able to play .avi files
  • Prefer black
  • Budget is around £250
That's about it. I don't mind if it's LCD, LED or plasma, although I'd prefer to steer away from plasma unless there is a good reason to go for it.

Now I've done a bit of searchig on the internet and found this:

DGM ETV-3293W

I've not heard of the brand before and can't find any reviews, so does anybody have any experience?

I'm not a brand snob, although I have had a few bad experiences with Toshiba in the past so tend to ignore them.

I'm not a brand snob either but my dad has a DGM 32" that's about 4ish years old and it is shocking.
Image quality is very poor. Obviously the newer one you are looking at might be fine but this is my only experience of the brand and it wasn't a good one!

Cheers for the reply mate, I did think it seemed a little too good to be true.

Any ideas about Hannspree? I've seen them around a fair bit recently and they seem to have fairly good reviews for the price.

I'm sure I've heard better things about hannspree. There was a Gadget show review a few months ago on 32" budget TVs and one came out well above the rest, just can't remember what it was! I'll see if I can find the clip online.

Found it http://fwd.channel5.com/gadget-show/videos/challen...

I have a Vistron that I picked up about 6 years ago and is still going strong, very good picture quality too.

Not sure of its quality, but did notice this the other day, possibly a bit big for a bedroom, but:

Toshiba 40BV701B 40ins LCD TV 1080P

£299.00
