Projector plug

Hi all I had ordered a hd projector from amazon.co.uk and received it today but it only has a European 2 pin plug.

What's the script with this? Can I just buy an adaptor and it will work.

I didn't think it was legal in the UK to sell a domestic electrical product with a euro plug attached

Not sure mate, technically I am not uk I am channel islands but the item came from amazon in the uk.

Cut it off and fit a standard plug

Is the mains cable fixed or a separate lead? If the latter just buy the correct lead. Or, cut of the euro plug and fit a UK on.
