Active Speakers

I have an ipad and will be getting an airport express. I was going to connect this to an amp and old speakers to stream music from the ipad.
Having thought some more, I think that some active speakers would be a neater looking solution.
Does anyone have any recommendations for about 300?

ADM9s are fine are but over 3 x Rollin's budget of "around 300".

Well I blew the budget and did go for the ADM9Ts in the end.

I must say that they are incredible speakers!
