Currently running TDL RTL3s as main speakers (and really quite happy with them!).
Have opportunity to move to a similarly ancient Mission 753.

Worth it?

They might be ancient but they were both 'top of the class' when new and there's been very little progress since. You're happy with the TDLs so, if possible, listen to the 753's in your system then decide.

Back in the mid 90s I used to build/test RTL3s ( and 2s ) for TDL and know them very well. They're good speakers but imho the Missions are far better but its not my opinion that's important, its which sounds better to you that matters.

753 will be far more accurate. RTL3 were bass monsters, not much refinement.
Depends what you want, auditioned both when they were current, ended up buying the Mission 752s.

Thanks the the replies, I like the bass of the TDLs, but do have a sub as well, so maybe not such an issue.
I've always wanted some 753s so may give them a go. At least try them with my setup (Onkyo TS-XR875), and sell them on if not.

Ancient ???

I run TLS80's , DM2A's and am thinking of adding either ESL57's or 63's to my collection .

Buy at the right price and if you are in no rush to sell you won't lose money in any case.
