Active crossovers

This may be of limited interest on PH but, for anyone out there who has built or is considering building their own speakers, this new digital active crossover is, imho, incredible for the money.
MiniDSP http://www.minidsp.com/ have been around for a while now making low cost digital signal processing products to home builders; this latest offering can be used as a 4-way digital crossover & pre amplifier. Companies like BSS and Behringer have had similar products available for years but they have been for pro users and their balanced connections haven't been easy to use with conventional hi-fi. More recently TACT~Lyngdorf, DEQX, Trinnov have made products with single ended, hi-fi type, connections but these have been 4 to 10 times the price of this MiniDSP design.
