A friend of mine is wondering if it is possible to hook up Sky+ to a HD telly that doesn't have a scart input?

Could try this?

I'd be tempted to get Sky HD though.

What other inputs does the TV have? If it has the yellow, red and white you can get a lead from the scart to these

The HDTV will have one but the Sky+ box won't. Sky+ HD boxes do though.

It probably comes with a SCART adaptor in the box with the TV. It's highly unlikely that it won't allow a connection froma Scart enabled device at all.

get sky + HD then, HD is so much better it's a waste having an HD tv and not putting HD signal into it

Apparently he got a good deal from Sky but it wasn't available with an HD box? The tv has an HMDI port and has the red, yellow and white port but it doesn't have a scart input apparently. Sounds like there might be a workaround though hopefully.

Thanks

Sky haven't sold white Sky+ boxes for about 3 or 4 years now. Are you sure it's not a 'Sky+HD' box without the HD sub? Ask him what colour the box is!

One of these or similar will do the job then:
