I'm looking to feed a signal from my Sky HD box to all other tv's in the house and looking for some advice.

I currently have a loft mounted aerial and 8 way splitter which feeds all the main rooms in my house with terrestrial channels, so the cables and tv points are all there already.

Is it possible to run a cable from the RF outlet on the sky box to the face plate in the living room and feed the signal to a sky compatible 'SLx 8 way signal distribution Amplifier with digital bypass' in the loft.
Would this be a strong enough signal for the other rooms? I realise the face plates may need to be changed for ones that allow the magic eye signal through. I also know that I would only be able to watch the same channel on the other tv's.
Do I require a booster/amplifier in between the sky box and living room face plate? Or anything else?

Any advice greatly appreciated, the OH has been nagging me for ages to sort this out!

What you want to do will work. Use RF out 2 on the Sky HD box. You will not need a second booster. You may need to combine the Sky feed from the lounge and the aerial feed at the distro amp.

If you feed the RF2 signal into a standard amp / distributor box the magic eye will no longer work.

The magic eyes are terribly sensitive to cable run (eg tight bends), faceplates and cable termination.

Many thanks, I'm going to set it up this weekend.
