Basically i have 2 choices for a tv.

The first one is a samsung 43 inch HD ready plasma, for only £330
The second one is £425 and is a samsung FULL HD LED tv.

If i dont watch bluray etc is it really worth paying the extra for the LED?

I would always buy the latest technology I could afford, as there is usually something new to attach to the back of it - does the hd ready set have the inputs / outputs you need now and in the future?

As for running costs, I doubt you would notice, but then you don't specify how long the set will be on for a day/ week etc.

In which case I would guess the cost differential would be less than the cost of a pint a month (and not worth worrying about). The connections on the back would be my biggest factor.
