Panasonic TH-50PZ80B problem - new TV time?
Discussion
My 2½ year old 50" Panasonic TH-50PZ80B is playing up. If the TV is warm it won't turn back on until it's been left to cool down for ½ an hour or so.
Annoyingly, I bought this TV from a place that guaranteed it for 5 years - but they went bust a month or so after I bought it.
Anyway, when I press the power button the LED flashes green a bunch of times, the TV clicks twice then once again a few secs later, then the LED flashes red twice - goes off for 4-5 secs - flashes twice again - repeat forever.
From searching the net I gather this two flash cycle is a code for some hardware error, possibly the power supply.
Are these things repairable? If so how does one find a good/honest/reliable TV repairman these days? Is it just a case of ringing round places in the yellow pages/yell.com?
Or is it waste of time and I should just buy a new TV?
Thanks.

Panasonic is usually running a 5 year warranty promotion on their plasma tv's.
The chances are that your warranty is with Panasonic themselves rather than with the retailer.
Try sending Panasonic UK an email to check if your TV is covered.

I've just bought a Panasonic and the warrenty is with them not with the retailer.
