Hello gurus!

I’ve had a look through these forums, as well as AV Forums but can’t find a conclusive answer so I’m hoping someone here can give that.

I have just moved into my own place having been living with my parents, with the result being components of my setup being in two rooms now instead of one! Originally I had my PC connected up to my AV receiver (details to follow), along with the Wii and the PS3. Output from the AV was to the TV and speakers all connected to the AV too. With this setup I ran streaming from the web, music from HDD/Spotify and films from HDD.

PC is now in the “snug” and the rest are in the living area. In addition I’m getting Sky HD which I plan to run through the AV too. Details of the equipment:

AV Receiver – Onkyo TX-SR705 ( http://tinyurl.com/2leo4t)
* PC is connected via DVI – HDMI and Optical
* PS3 via HDMI
* Wii via coax(RWY)
* Sky will be HDMI

Speakers – Orb Audio Mod2 5.1

TV - Samsung LE40M86BD ( http://tinyurl.com/d7comro)

I have a few ideas on what to do and some bits are simple enough to do but I want to leave a clean slate for answers from all of you. My question is this:

How do I get films/music/streaming through the TV and surround sound, while controlling it though an iPad?

Here is (some of!) the crux, my budget is about £300. Depending on how good the suggestion is I will possibly flex, but my preference is very much to keep it at that or below. I apologise if any of this isn’t very clear, I have a decent head for this but nowhere near as good as some of you. Anything that isn’t clear please just ask and I’ll do my best to make it so! I realise the reason I haven't found an answer is there might not be one! Thanks in advance.

Mark.

I'm no guru, but reading it seems to me you might want AppleTV. That'll stream the stuff from your PC to the TV/5.1 in the other room and is controllable using the iPad.
