Looks a good deal... Is it?
Discussion
I think the problem with it is that the resolution is only 720p and not 1080p. That said, if you're not that fussed then I'm sure 720p will be fine.
If your room can take it and can afford the extra then I'd personally go for the 50" Panasonic 3D plasma in Costco for £600. The picture is superb and also 1080p. It also comes with a 5 year warranty and from experience, Costco are excellent with aftersales.

Not too fussed about 720p or 1080p tbh, but the main thing is we're going to put this in quite a small room and the viewing distance will suit 42" better.
Plus I really don't want to spend any more, initial budget was £350 (though originally didn't want 3D).
I've bought one anyway, I was going to wait for responses but got itchy fingers

Delivered sat so we'll see.
Have a TX-P42S30 (I think) in our living room at the moment and really pleased with that.
I read up on this a little while ago (720p vs 1080p) and some folks believe that there isn't much difference and is certainly not night/day.
One thing I will say though is that Panasonic make some fantastic plasma TV's so am sure you've bought a cracker either way. My bro has a Panasonic and it bowled me over. It doesn't have the ultra slim lines of a modern LED but the picture more than makes up for it.
Enjoy!

So this Panasonic 3D TV comet are advertising at £449, I see online you can also have it with a 3D DVD player for £513.
Seems a cracking deal, is it about the best available at the money currently? About to hit buy.
Excuse the stupid question, but can you watch normal 2d tv on that screen aswell, or do you always need to wear the glasses?Seems a cracking deal, is it about the best available at the money currently? About to hit buy.

Yeah it will operate as a normal tv and no need to wear glasses unless viewing 3d :-)Bit worried as to if I will actually get it though. When I first tried to buy online there was a problem processing the payment, so had to call. Then got a call today saying there had been a further problem, so now on attempt 3. Can't help wondering if there's enough stock?

Just check whether is if passive or active 3D. I think it is passive, which means the glasses are like the ones in the cinema.
