Panasonic Viera Cast/Connect not working.
Discussion
I started writing this post as a request for help but I think it's just going to be a moan about a really annoying "feature" of my Panasoninc plasma.
I went to access iPlayer on Viera Connect/Cast, or whatever it's called, the other day. The telly then displayed a message advising me to "confirm clock settings" and wouldn't proceed to the online content. After scouring the menus for clock setting function, and then resorting to Google, it turns out the clock can't be set manually.
Basically, my tv has somehow lost its time setting which the on line features need to function. The only way it can set the time is from the Freeview terrestrial signal. The problem for me is that I don't have a terrestrial aerial point nearby any more. Sky provides the pictures.
It's a web connected tv, so why can't it get it's time from the internet or something. And who thought not having a manual time setting was a good idea? Annoying!!!! All the online content is now rendered inoperative unless I have an aerial re-installed.

Seen this? Post #60 http://www.avforums.com/forums/lcd-led-lcd-tvs/108...
I'll see if I can do what it says. Need to try to understand it. Thanks.I appear to have fixed it. I attached an old portable tv aerial I found in the loft. It wouldn't pull in any pictures but it allowed the Freeview channel list to update.
Then, when I went to Viera Connect it told me the tv needed a software update (even though I checked if it was up to date earlier on). Now that's odd, because previously it has conducted updates without an aerial connected.
Anyway, once the update completed everything seems to be working again, excpet the connection speed seems slower than bfore. iPlayer keeps buffering which I never had a problem with in the past.
Cheers for the help
