Are there any LED backlit LCD screens that have the VESA holes going into the chassis rather than just the plastic of the rear cover that you know of?

Any idea how I could get this info otherwise?

Thanks!

If I understand you correctly, most of the Samsung range and all of the Panasonic LEDs i've seen
Samsung cheapy LEDs have the old LCD casing

Why do you ask?

I need to know if the screws go into the metal chassis of the TV rather than just the plastic back because I need to suspend the TV from above and cannot risk the screws pulling out of the plastic back and the screen falling.

If the screws go into the chassis there is much less chance they will come out.

This is an on going saga to fit an LCD horizontally from the ceiling hehe

Excellent
Was at Samsung lab last month, definitely the thin metal backed LEDs do this...
Remember the old Philips ad for plasmas? A couple carrying their new plasma tv round their flat looking for the best place to hang it? Settled for directly above the bed so they could lay back and watch tv?
Advert withdrawn, as laying plasmas flat is baaad for them! Lol
Good luck with project, post pics once done
Think this would be good for gaming...
