Sky+ HD box - sound / picture out of synch...

My old Sky boxes never experienced this annoying fault, but my HD box regularly lets the sound go out of synch with the picture. Hence, when someone on screen is talking, the words are either late or early to their articulation.

Very annoying. It also records programmes this way - it's not just live TV.

Lately, it's got so bad it seems to happen every other day. The fix is to power down and re-boot the box, but I'm lucky if this lasts 24 hours - and today, after doing this, it didn't fix it at all

Anyone else had this - and if so, is there a permanent fix, or is my box borked?

I've just paid £60 plus postage for a brand new Sky HD box to replace my old Samsung HD box, bit of a bargain and not worth messing about with the old box at this price.

i had a problem with the sound dropping out for a second then come back on.

i just rewind it for a minute and it would all work again, maybe worth a try...... or try updating the box unplugging it holding the backup button on the box down and plugging it back in.

Exactly the same issue for me especially on recorded programmes, though does happen 'live' too.

Now matched or usually, more to the point, signalled by a blue screen but with audio on starting a recorded programme.

Sky advice utterly useless and the only ways I can fix it are either to back up and start again, which sometimes works, rewind and fast forward randomly and then re-start watching from 'pause' - works but less often - or in extremis to unplug and start again. Even that doesn't always fix it and some shows have had to be deleted.

Sky Sports HD, Sky Atlantic HD and BBC HD are the worst for me - some so bad I can hardly believe my luck when they work!
