Freesat+ Slingloaded issue
Discussion
I have just installed an Echostar HDS 600RS PVR.
Cracking bit of kit, love it.
But I want to use the Slingloaded feature to view Freesat on my Android phone, tablet or laptop.
I have set up a slingbox account, the PVR is connected through ethernet to my home network via a powerlink adapter, and all looks OK with that. However I am unable to see the PVR on my network, while running the setup on the Slingbox site ( haveing downloaded the Slinbox browser plugin).
Has anyone else had the same issue?
You're right the Echostar is a great bit of kit and great value!
Are you able to view it on your home PC/network? If not I would try and set it up first plugged directly into your router with an ethernet cable, it needs to open up some ports in the router to get it all working, maybe the powerline adaptors are messing things up?
You'll need to pay for an app to view on your phone, it's about £22?? Via a PC/Mac it's free via the browser.

hmm, gonna be a bit of drag as the PVR is downstairs and the router is upstairs. Are you able to view it on your home PC/network? Wonder could I go into the routers diagnostics and open ports that way?
To answer your first question, no its not visible on my home network. Before humping it upstairs, I think I will unplug it and unplug the powerlines and start again
