Bose Aucoutimass 10 Speakers

Afternoon all,
First post so here goes.
Looking to upgrade my current Yamaha 5.1 speakers and def like the look of the Bose speakers.
I have a samsung av amp so would this just be a case of hooking them up to this or would i need to upgrade amp also?
Sounds obvious but I guess the Bose speakers use normal speaker wire and not some fancy system they use so you have to accompany your speakers with a Bose av / amp...
Also I am open to suggestions I like the Bose but if there is a better alternative feel free to suggest although keep the suggestions to compact small speakers as I appreciate there maybe bigger better sounding separates I could go for but my main criteria is small and compact!!

Looked at them, expensive and not great reviews. Went for the cambridge adio minx, equally small, cheaper and imho much better.
