Any good, or is there better to be had for the money? I sa them in Comet last night, with a few quid off but can't remember the model number.

No idea but, I did notice that the new Maplin magazine had the HD218's at half price; £19.99 instead of £39.99. HLH. smile

Went through a few pairs (300 and 400??). Mixed issues. 300 was terrible sound quality and the 400 broke. The 400 I tried were quite good but went one legged, I suspect the in line volume control. Went for Sound Magic which are superb quality. But after three sets going faulty I suspect the main components are chocolate. Not sure what to get next.

I've got a set of px100-II, and I'm quite impressed with them. they are fold up headphones (handy for bunging in a pocket) and not very big pads. I find them pretty good at listening to my ipod with.

By no means the best headphones probably, but for what I want them to do, they are pretty good, and quite surprised by the bass the chuck out too spin

The over ear ones?

I had a pair briefly. They were actually really good for the price. Unfortunately my dog stood on them and they snapped, but they were good while they lasted.

Well, IMO they aren't the comfiest headphones you'll ever try. I thought the padding was a little firm. I got used to it I guess. Others thought they were quite comfortable, so I suppose the best way is to try for yourself. The sound quality was really quite good though, really crisp and clear. Didn't have a huge amount of bass through them, but for the price, I was impressed. Well worth £20.

I have a pair of the £20ish in-ear Sennheisers and they're excellent. I've never been able to wear over the ear 'cans' comfortably though, so I'm perhaps biased. Anyway, definitely worth a punt.

+1 bought some a few years back for £19.99 from Richer sounds.
Amazed at the quality of them. The ones i had folded down into a carry case too.

My children have taken these now to listen to 'Gangnam style'?

Got a pair of CX200 in ear ones and i would recommend them. Really comfortable rubber pads and good quality sound. Get better results from my phone over my mp3 player.

One excellent feature is the 90 degree input jack. Doesnt stick out of the device that far and therefore less likely to break. Had mine 2 years now.
