I need something to put my Panasonic tv ( and turntable )through and was heading toward a rather tasty Denon RCD-M39DAB and a set of Q Acoustic 2010is ( £277: deal here but can prob get it a bit cheaper than that).

The amp does fit nicely in the shelves(33x33)of my IKEA EXPEDIT unit and i know the speakers are pretty good. However this setup is pushing my budget a bit, plus i feel im paying for DAB when i really dont need it ( crap signal so digital radio will be through tv ).

I then saw this SC=-HTB20 which has got reasonable reviews (£150 on ebay). As the circuitry is in the sub (happens to fit very snuggly between said unit and chimnet breast), and the sound bar splits in two (to get slightly better stereo), it seems like a good alternative. The other major factor is my Panny has Viewra Link so the volume would be controlled by the tv. My worry is that music will sound pretty terrible through it.

So anyone got one - and what does music sound like through it ?

And can anyone recomend anything like the Denon but cheaper / without dab.

I realise this quality/looks vs cost/convenience lark is hardly new, but i may be missing something better - and you guys might just know what it is !
