Sky over wired network?
Discussion
Now that smart TVs are fairly common, it's relatively easy to distribute DVD and BD rips from my home server without the need for a dedicated media player. The media player on the main TV is a lot easier to use than the smart TVs in the dining room and workshop, though.
Is there a way of getting stuff that I've recorded on Sky HD to play out to the smart TVs over my home network?

You could use HDMI to Ethernet system.
Check out these guys, I've done an install using one of their systems. Worked fine playing 720p through a 50m Ethernet cable.

Hi Guys
Unfortunately, the recordings on your sky box are only available to view via the HDMI output.
Sky are planning a multi room system which will allow sharing of recordings between devices - even allow viewing of recordings on sky go (from anywhere. Ie not on the same local network)
