Sky HD Box Won't Stop Recording

I set a couple of programs to record at 9pm last night on our Sky HD box and they were still recording at 7am this morning, as if the "end of program" marker was not recognised...
Is this a known problem? anyone else experiencing this currently?
Is there a fix available or do I just have to replace the box (it's already 5 or 6 years old)

Ours has doen this a couple of times. Just unplug it and wait a minute or so which seems to reset it. You will probably find the program recorded all ok as per normal anyway. we did.
There is a procedure to reset planner I think it is called. Do a search on the sky website for details. I need to do this reasonably regularly these days. apparently it clears out all the cache type stuff which helps it all run smooth. Could give that a try.

Yep ring Sky tell them of the problem, they will tell you it's £50 to send out an engineer. Tell them in that case you will cancel as there is no point in paying X amount a month for something that doesn't work, they will send the engineer for free.Gassing Station | Home Cinema & Hi-Fi | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
