I wanted to take my flatscreen TV off the wall yesterday, but the cable tie that you pull to release the clip snapped off so I cant release the clip!
Anyone got any suggestions how to get the thing off now (I cant reach it with my hand as the gap is too narrow!!) The TV won't slide off sideways either as there are end stops to prevent it.

Thanks in advance

Simon.

Long pliers? Kitchen tongs? Can you hook the catch with a bent coat hanger?

Had the same problem myself last year.
I ended up using a length of coathanger wire with a small 90 degree bend at the end. Whilst I fidled this arround in the area of the safety catch my wife put light upward pressure on that side only of the screen. It took a fair while but eventually I managed to depress the catch and free the screen. Once the screen was off it was a simple job to take apart the mount and re string it with much stronger string pull than the original.
Good luck.
