Just getting around to improving the Wi-Fi and sound system at my house as part of a long overdue remodelling.

Bit out of touch with this but is £460 day (VAT incl.) labour really the going rate???

It also depends on where you are and who they are.

If they have a shop front, big team and London based (ie big overheads)it is about right.

If it is a one man band with little overheads and in the back end of nowhere then is it high.

I think Toxic and I are both more in the middle of those two options.

We've just had a meeting with them and what initially looked eye watering from the labour point of view, once broken down into the amount of work required appeared reasonable...

Improving the wifi throughout the house and terrace. Naim pre-amp with all our music on a server. Crestron control system for sound, light and heat!

A basic av install rate is still a bit high, but for Crestron Programming that's a good rate.
