Does anybody on here have one of these and is it worth the money?

I borrowed a Sonos Connect for a while which I have now returned so need to purchase a new Connect (ZP90) as I can't live life without it smile

While I was scouring the interweb, I found this:

http://www.arcam.co.uk/products,rseries,wired-dacs...

I'd not seen this device before so was wondering if anybody had one and is it worth getting?

It is indeed. The Sonos has a DAC built in, but this device bypasses it and uses the 'better' one provided with the Arcam so am unsure whether it's an overpriced unnecessary expense or whether an uprated DAC makes a difference.

I have one - it's pretty much identical to the sound signature of a dacmagic/rdac - just obviously designed to match the look of sonos. Transforms the sound of the standard sonos - I personally don't know how anyone listens to a sonos without an external dac as it sounds so thin and lifeless to my ears.

Unless matching the Sonos is really important the son link is just a rehoused r rlink but without an optical input and a captive cable for the coax. Surely an rlink would be cheaper and potential more flexible. Pointless IMO
